Sharemarket update June 2019

The sharemarket goes from strength to strength, with a nearly 4% rise throughout the month of June. This has been despite quite poor economic forecasts and unemployment figures. Positive news included Donald Trump coming to an agreement with Mexico to avoid tariffs on their goods. The Iron ore price also rose 10% resulting in a good result for mining stocks.

The US share market has experienced an even better return with a nearly 7% rise across June.

The $AUS fell significantly mid-month to around 68.4c but has steadily gained ground back to the 70c mark, stronger than where it began the month.
